In 2002, an entrepreneur came out of nowhere and entered negotiations to acquire Club Guadalajara, transforming what had been a civil society among many partners into a private enterprise and the headquarters of the National Soccer Team. Chivas is now a Club that trains young talent, with a new stadium and a championship title to boot. Many promises already kept and not yet fulfilled make Jorge Vergara the object of conflicting sentiment in the Mexican soccer world. |
